Title: Student Worker - High School to Paraprofessional Pathway (TPP) (SY24-25)

Student Worker High School to Paraprofessional

High School to Paraprofessional students who are accepted into the Teacher Pathway Program (TPP) will apply to this position. The student worker will work alongside a designated For Kids Only (FKO) Educator. The student worker will be responsible for supporting students in engaging activities and lessons in the FKO afterschool program under the guidance of the FKO Educator.  

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help to provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable quality experience to children and families involved in FKO's after school programs
• Assist with supervision of school-aged children enrolled in the program
• Encourage children to participate in all activities and realize their full potential
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to children enrolled
• Strive to achieve FKO goals and operate with the character values and mission in mind
• Incorporate FKO's core values of kindness, support, collaboration, appreciation of differences, and holistic learning in all activities and interactions
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

• Some experience in the following areas:
• Enjoys working with children
• Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and creativity
• Friendly and approachable attitude
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and to be effective and take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic, ambitious environment.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required  

Terms: Part-time position, up to 19 hours / week
