Title: Lead - Parent Liaison (Middle & High School) (Internal Only) (SY24-25)

 

LOCATION: District (K-12)

        

REPORTS TO:  Tamara Blake-Canty, Chief Academic Officer

 

GENERAL DUTIES: 

• Facilitate on-going professional development for family liaisons
• Mentor family liaisons
• Check in regularly with with school leaders on family engagement matters
• Support family liaisons in planning year long family engagement events
• Support and encourage family liaisons to bridge school and family relationships, connections and expectations
• Create vision and mission for family liaison department
• Create district-wide family engagement activities that are culturally responsive
• Collaborate with district/school coaches and leads on family engagement events
• Collaborate with district partners to support schools
• Guide family liaison team in addressing school AIPs/Turnaround Plans as applicable to families
• Meet bi-weekly with Chief Academic Officer 
• Support family liaisons with frequent family information updates on each school’s website
• Send out quarterly family newsletter   

 

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate includes Chelsea Public Schools family liaison with 3 or more years of experience.

 

COMPENSATION:  Parent liaison lead will be paid a stipend of $4,500.
